Shopping 3dxchat ingame content
I am happy to see there is the possibility of selling content for 3dxchat. I do think that is pretty normal with the most MMO`s games and it helps to stick people to a game; it is a way of being creative and it is even a kind of a benefit for the people who are spending so many times with the ingame world-editor of 3dxchat. Thrust my words – this tool is pretty time consuming! New people to 3dxChat are don’t need to be a freak with the ingame editor and are able to buy a room for their needs.
There are different pages which are offering selling of 3dxchat content. Tia`s 3dxchatstore is a one of this stores, which is frequently visited and it is a good store with lots of support. I am selling for a couple of months content at this store and I am thinking a lot of the customers there are kinda new to 3dxchat. I wont write anything about other shops cause I am not active there and I do not have any experience with it.
But how to prevent from buying a not needed product? I am not talking about the motivation of buying, like impulsive buying. Is there any guidelines or anything to make sure about a product?
It is all a matter of taste – that’s for sure. If you don’t like a design, you won’t buy it. What you can do, if you do like a design is to think about for what you are looking for – your motivation. That’s the best way to prevent yourself from being disappointed after purchasing a product. Let’s cluster products related to the different needs:
· Home Room
· Club Room (Event Room)
· Roleplay Room (so called RP Room)
· Objects to merge into other rooms (Please read my blog if you do need help)
Before we talk about the different product types I do give you a little warning. Don’t buy products which are using colored preview pictures at shops! I do know people who are very frustrated after buying those designs. Ask yourself…why does a seller needs to color a preview picture?
There are even people selling designs at shops and every product is on sale every day. Why? You can easily filter those people with the shop option at Tia`s 3dxChatStare (just preview the Creators Option at the top of the store). You should really think about why sellers are doing this!
Home room
It is time for a new home! It is not a bad thing to think about what you are going to do with your home room and how much time you will spent there. Will you have visitors? In my mind a home room should be able to work with the most daytime and ingame nighttime settings. I am saying this cause we all do have different moods. A home room is in my mind a “full room”. It should include the most poses e.g., bed, bartender-chair, sofa, chair, pool, wall etc. . If you are into wall-poses and the rooms does not have this – you might be disappointed. A full room should even have something like a landscape (what takes a lot of work to create this) that’s good to have something to look at that’s far away or gives the possibility to walk around or even go swimming. But maybe you just prefer to sit in a flat with maybe one window.
Club room (Event room)
Make sure about the performance about this room. If you want this room just for private parties there is no need for this. If you do want to open the room ingame for guests and guests numbers without any limit it is a need to have a room which perform good even with guest above 100+. A skilled ingame creator is knowing about the performance issue of 3dxchat and know how to deal with it. It is not a mystery! Preventing performance issue are like using less dynamic object, less reflecting objects, no lights 1.0, limited details, room benchmark testing and room file-size! Be careful regarding palms and grass. The old ones are bad regarding room performance. Watch for rooms which are using the new tropical pack, which is perfect for palms and grass! Tbh…there are people selling clubs without taking care about performance issue`s at all. Watch out!
Roleplay room
The room should fulfill your rp wishes and do not forget there is always a need for a break from rp. There is not much to take care about. I guess at a devils-cave you don’t need daylight. Maybe a school class there is a need. If you want to open it ingame with lots of guests you should watch out the performance issues like with a club rooms.
Objects to merge into other rooms
You should be able to deal with the ingame world-editor for merging and turning objects. Knowledge about grouping objects is very helpful!
If you are still not sure about buying? It is a good thing if a seller is a known person ingame and playing 3dxchat for a longer time. A skilled designer can offer designing on request/demand. Why not contacting a seller ingame? Then you will have the opportunity to ask question if you are unsure regarding a product and even there is the possibility to take a look at a design ingame before buying. Well yes – the support thingy and it gives a good feeling knowing this is socialized person ingame you can rely on! Just ask the Diva 😊.
